php hosting

PHP is one of the most commonly used open source programming languages on the Internet and to be able to fully work with it you need a web host supporting this language. Most web hosts offer some kind of affordable PHP hosting using the LAMP structure.
Originally PHP stood for Personal Home Page but now, after a lot of changes on the web, it stands for Hypertext Preprocessor. As mentioned is open source which in this case means that it is free to use. All of the commands are executed on the server side and they are written in HTML. A large number of the dynamic websites are written in PHP and the language comes with a great deal of applications.
If you know and understand Perl and C you will find PHP easy as it was adapted from these scripting languages. Although, we must say that a lot experience is not all that necessary as PHP is fairly easy to pick up. A good thing to mention is that many of the components that you will use for PHP are free.
There are however a couple of minor issues that might cause problems when working with PHP. With more than 3,000 commands can it at times be somewhat confusing and PHP does not allow you to detect and clean up bugs and nonsense data put in by a hacker. Crashes can also occur since PHP extensions are not compatible with some Web Server software.

eUKhost.com Launches New line of Dedicated Servers

a provider of Shared, Reseller, Virtual Private Servers and dedicated servers, today introduced Enterprise Linux/Windows Dedicated Servers. The company states that starting at just £129 GBP per month, Enterprise Dedicated Servers will have a setup identical to its existing Shared Hosting Servers. These servers will have the same security settings applied, and they will also be actively monitored similar to the shared hosting servers they currently manage.
Besides the regular backups, each server will also be setup with RAID 1 in order to minimize potential problems and prevent subsequent data loss. It further states that all Enterprise Dedicated Servers are based on Linux or Windows Platform where each Linux Enterprise Dedicated Server will be pre-installed with cPanel/WHM control panel, while Windows Enterprise Dedicated Servers will be pre-installed with DotNetPanel control panel.
In order to guarantee the security and performance of these servers, the company has imposed certain security restrictions similar to those on their shared hosting servers. The main security restriction being the root/Administrator login not been given to the customers in order to ensure only the company technicians can perform software updates, security changes, maintenance and optimizations on the server which will enable the company to be in total control over the hosting environment. Having said that, the company is willing to provide root/Administrator details of these servers to the respective users upon request.
Ryan Watson, Business Development Manager at eUKhost, states “We found that many customers needed the power of a Dedicated Server, but only wanted the responsibility of a Shared Hosting account. We’ve made a special effort to simplify our dedicated server offerings and at the same time offer our customers the flexibility they need to run their online business without worrying about server management.”
